Analyzation of song

Most times a progression in one key will have some rhythmic variation in it.
Purple Rain is a song begining with Bb add 9 followed by chords from Bb Major.
Starts in 4/4 and adds a 2/4 at the 8th bar of the verse,
adds a 2/4 at the 8th bar of the chorus.
Seemingly simple songs do this often.
"Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash is an 11 bar blues.
It doesn't feel awkward at all.
Great delivery.
"Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison has some 6/4 bars in it.
